Pa Vi Ha Cultural Village is nestled at the foot of Ma Pi Leng Pass and beside the cool Nho Que River, creating a beautiful scene in the middle of Dong Van Stone Plateau. Coming here, you will be surprised by the large welcome gate shaped like a Mong trumpet – an ideal highlight for check-in.
Pa Vi Ha was invested to develop into a community cultural tourism village since 2016, and has now become one of the interesting multi-experience, resort and traditional cultural architecture preservation complexes of the Mong people in the northernmost part of the country. The village owns a series of homestays designed in many styles with architecture simulating the shape of peach blossoms – the typical flower of the rocky plateau.
Pa Vi village, with 100% Mong ethnic people living, stands out with its house architecture, cuisine, costumes, and original folk culture that is preserved and promoted. Each trinh tuong house here has a simple yellow-brown color, built of earth with yin-yang tiled roofs covered with moss, creating a cool feeling in the summer and warm in the winter.
Surrounding the Pa Vi Village are massive cat-ear shaped stone mountains, lush green valleys and the winding blue Nho Que River. The wild and majestic beauty of nature here will leave you amazed and captivated, likened to a brilliant flower in the middle of the mountains and forests. With simple Trinh tuong houses, terraced fields and gentle, hospitable people, Pa Vi offers visitors a peaceful space, separate from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
The village has a total area of over 46,000 m2, about 30 households doing community-based tourism. The houses are built in the traditional model of the Mong people, adjacent to each other, developing accommodation and homestay services for tourists. The village also has a hexagonal playground, used as a place for traditional cultural and artistic performances of Mong ethnic culture.
Coming to Pa Vi Hmong village means coming to a space imbued with the cultural identity of the Mong people with traditional trinh tuong houses, stone fences, brown earthen walls, golden corn cobs drying around the house, colorful dresses and unique traditional cuisine.
Visitors should not miss the opportunity to experience a simple day with the locals, wearing the colorful costumes of the Mong people and trying their hand at activities such as stripping linen, weaving, and preparing food… Especially, if you visit Pa Vi Ha in early winter, when the buckwheat flowers are in full bloom, visitors will be impressed by the soft carpet of buckwheat flowers exuding a cool fragrance under the morning sunlight, with the mountain peaks appearing and disappearing in the distance in the virtual curtain.
